2023

anodised aluminium

+- 3 x 3 cm

An elegant poem, laser etched on the outer body panel of a spacecraft. This work is part of the TechEdSat-11 group art project.

Poem

this is of earth already among the stars

a charm in her orbital bracelet

an offering dredged of her insides

as everything we've ever known

all a miracle of fire

many of us share traditions of burning

for cleansing and sacrificial purposes

star smoke streak smudge

a candle blown out.

I___you___we___make

a wish

the world over

"for what was is"

need not be. D.E. Bilodeau
