Artist

Japan

I have been working on visualisation of the sense of animism in Japanese culture.
I seek to share the experience of the invisible and spiritual aspects of nature through painting. I aim to depict more than superficial elements the unseen forces that underlie the visible data or externalized matter. Through such mimetic processes, I trace divinity in nature. I propose that painting has the potential to create enhanced versions of the realities embodied ‘unseen’ in artworks.
