Freddy Shachar Kislev, head of the multidisciplinary school of art at Shenkar, is an artist, a history of philosophy scholar, a game enthusiast and a creative technologist. His work takes place where art (in its broadest sense), games, digital technologies and philosophy converge. In 2019 and 2020 his work was exhibited in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in a large, three-part, acclaimed solo exhibition. Shachar has a Ph.D in the history of philosophy, an MFA in film and television, and an MA in 17th-century German philosophy. He has been heading the National Artist Union in Israel since 2016. His book, “Hexagonal Lobes and Other Riddles”, was published late in 2021, and he is currently working on an art exhibition in outer space.
